You've likely seen petitioners out on the streets across Arkansas now more so than ever as they are running out of time.
The author of the approved Arkansas Hemp and Cannabis Amendment for example, today was out in Clinton working to get signatures.
He says there have been more than 50,000 petition sheets out there waiting on signatures in just the month that they had to collect.
The time restraints and other formalities have presented quite the challenge to get what they needed.
"That's the nature of the beast. I mean the regulations to get a petition are massive and with less than 30 days just to get it done with no funding and all by the citizens of Arkansas, we'll make history," says Robert Reed.
Currently I'm told they have petitioners in 21 cities and 45 locations, the signatures are due Monday.
We expect to know more about each one of the ballot initiatives closer to.
They say they are way away from where they need to be but are confident that they will have enough to get the initiative on the ballot, that if approved by voters would make all uses of cannabis legal by April 2015.
