He presented a seven point legislative agenda he plans to implement if elected to office.
One of the points focusing on strengthening child sex predator laws as well as creating criminal justice transparency.
"I think this state has a real parole problem in this state and so I talked about the possibility of ending parole for those violent sex offenders," said Steel.
Steel will face off against Republican Attorney General Candidate Leslie Rutledge in November.
