Through three games, Junior Jonathan Nance leads Arkansas Receivers with 200 yards and two touchdowns. Nance, from Gulfport, Mississippi, hit the 100-yard mark against Texas A&M finishing with three catches, including a 44-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
"He made some great catches...you know that
second post route he caught, I think he dove to it or
something like that, but he's a guy that I trust running
the right routes. As long as I trust him to do the right
thing, he's gonna have a big year," Austin Allen said.
The feeling is mutual for Nance who hauled in a 44-yard strike from Allen, setting up Arkansas' final touchdown of the game...a 4-yard run by Dave Williams. Nance and Allen also connected on what turned out to be an 11-yard pass play in the 2nd quarter.
"I feel like I'm gaining his trust and it's where he's
gonna throw it up and I'm gonna go get it, and make
plays for us. So I feel like that's a good thing,
and we got some good things going," Nance said.
Averaging better than 22 yards per catch, Nance has nine catches on the year entering the Hogs' 4th game of the year. That's a matchup with New Mexico State Saturday Morning at 11 at Razorback Stadium.
