UPDATE: Three Children Missing Out of Johnson County are Found Safe

UPDATE:

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ark.- The three children that were missing  have been located, and have now been returned to their mother.

The children were located with their grandfather along the Buffalo River in the Ponca area on Thursday.

Larry Childress, the grandfather, is being transported to the Johnson County Detention Center on kidnapping charges.

All of this is in response to when he picked the kids up in Johnson County on Tuesday evening and was supposed to return them home Wednesday. However by Thursday afternoon no one had seen them.

Johnson County authorities tell us that this is an ongoing investigation.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ark.- The Sheriff’s Office is currently asking for the community’s help in locating three children, who are reported to be with their maternal grandfather.

The children are: Kaydance, 7-year-old female, Damon, 2-year-old male and Elijah, 1-year-old male.

Larry Childress, the grandfather, picked the kids up in Johnson County on Tuesday evening and was supposed to return them home Wednesday.However, The four have not been seen.

At this time authorities are not under the impression that the children are in any direct danger. They are believed to be possibly camping along the Buffalo river.
