HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - A local teen has died about 12 hours after being critically wounded in a shooting.
The Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) reported Thursday afternoon that Marlon Dupree Sanders, 18, died at around 11 a.m. at National Park Medical Center.
The case is now a homicide investigation.
The HSPD says this is the city's first homicide of the year. There were seven homicides total for all of 2017.
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - A local teenager is hospitalized in "very critical" condition after a Wednesday shooting incident, police say.
The victim was found at National Park Medical Center shortly before 11 p.m., where he had arrived by private vehicle, said a Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) news release issued Thursday.
He has been identified as Marlon Dupree Sanders, 18.
The HSPD says the shooting, which happened in the parking lot of the McDonald's on E. Grand Ave., remains under investigation and no further details are yet being released.
