Update: Suspect Arrested in Connection to Oct. 18 Homicide

Update (October 25): 

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -  An arrest has been made in connection to the homicide that took place near the Big Country Chateau apartments on Oct. 18. 

Latoris Henry, 16, was arrested by Little Rock police Wednesday Oct. 24 at approximately 11:45 p.m. near the 8101 Cantrell Road apartments. 

Henry was charged with first-degree murder. 

Henry appeared in the LR District Court Wednesday morning. He is being held on a $500,000 bond. 

The investigation is ongoing.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Police are searching for two suspects involved in a shooting that is now a homicide. 

Police say the shooting occurred after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night along the 6200 block of Col Glenn Road. at the Big Country Chateau apartments. 

The victim, Kordell Johnson, 19, was shot multiple times, and was treated at UAMS, where he later died on Thursday from his injuries. 

According to the police report, Johnson was an acquaintance to the suspects. 

The suspects have not been identified. The official report stated that the shooter was wearing a gold chain and is said to be 5'7" and weighing around 150 pounds. The second suspect is said to be 5'8" and weighing around 150 pounds. 

One witness says that both suspects were wearing black hoodies and believes that they are brothers. 

According to the witness report, Johnson and the two male suspects were in the apartment smoking when Johnson began to feel uncomfortable about the other two men and asked them to leave. The witness says after a couple of words the two men left, but they then heard knocking at the door about a minute after they left. The witness said that Johnson opened the door and she heard 4 to 5 gunshots.
