LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - State police are investigating after the body of an Alabama woman is pulled from a lake north of Jacksonville.

Monday afternoon, a spokesperson for ASP confirmed agents were questioning a Jacksonville man in connection with the case. At the time, that same spokesperson said investigators believed the human remains belonged to a 23 year old Alabama woman.

Sources tell us a tip led ASP to Lake Pickthorne in southern Lonoke County Sunday, where authorities retrieved a body from a suitcase submerged in the lake.

Kimberly Cline, mother of Laramie Cline, later confirmed to us that it was her daughter's body pulled from the lake.

Cline, of Ozark, Alabama, called her daughter a "vibrant soul" but also said Laramie could be too trusting of people.

Laramie's car was also found west of Little Rock near Pinnacle Mountain.

Arkansas State Police have not released the name of the man they've detained for questioning.
