Update: Suspect Accused of Firing Shots at AR Police Officer Caught

Incident Happened in Ashdown Monday Night after Traffic Stop

LITTLE RIVER COUNTY, Ark. (KTAL) - A man police had been searching for who was accused of firing shots at a police officer in Ashdown on Monday is now in custody.

Glenn Derricks was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in Little River County.

There's no word yet on what charges will be filed against Derricks.

ASHDOWN, Ark. (KTAL) - A manhunt is underway in Southwest Arkansas for a suspect wanted for shooting at a police officer.

The incident is reported to have happened in Ashdown Monday night when an officer made a traffic stop.

Police say the suspect then fired shots at the officer. The officer was not injured.

The suspect has been identified as Glenn Derricks, who is reportedly from the Dallas area. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
