Update: Searcy Police Identify Theft Suspect

SEARCY, Ark. - A suspect in a local theft has been identified thanks to help from the public.

The Searcy Police Department said it learned the individual's name on Wednesday, just a few hours after the agency had released his photo.

It's not yet known if the man is in custody.

SEARCY, Ark. - A suspect photo has been released in the investigation of a business theft.

The Searcy Police Department is requesting the public's help in identifying the person in the photo. 

Police say he is wanted in connection with an Oct. 8 theft at Pro Tire on Wisconsin Street.

"At approximately 1:45 p.m., a white male, possibly in his mid-50s, backed what appeared to be a 2014 blue Chevrolet Silverado Z71 into a side lot," says a SPD news release issued Wednesday. "He proceeded to steal approximately 60 tires from a trailer owned by the business. The older male was accompanied by another white male, possibly a juvenile." 

"All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law," the release continued.
