Update: Mother, Son Wounded When Shots Fired at LR Home

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A local woman and her teenaged son are recovering from gunshot wounds after a Thursday night incident at their Lewis St. home.

The Little Rock Police Department says the 59-year-old woman and her 15-year-old son were both shot in the thigh area when shots were fired at their home from outside. Both were taken to the hospital.

The woman told officers she heard an argument before the shots rang out. Police were also told one of two suspects had just walked away from the home and toward a car when the gunfire erupted.

According to the incident report, the teen was shot through the home's front door.

The LRPD says the victims gave a description of what one of the suspects was wearing and an individual matching the description was found nearby. The 22-year-old man was taken to a police substation for questioning and released without charges. Police were still looking on Friday for a 21-year-old man, whose name was listed on the incident report.
