Update: Missing Elementary Student Found in Fayetteville Pool Has Died

Update (3/8):
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Police say a child reported missing out of Vandergriff Elementary school Tuesday, who was found in a swimming pool near the school, died Wednesday morning.
 
Police say the child was found unresponsive in the pool shortly after he went missing during recess.
 
Emergency medical services responded to the scene at the pool around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 7. The boy was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center and then to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Police say he died around 10 a.m. March 8.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - A child who was reported missing out of Vandergriff Elementary school Tuesday was found in a nearby swimming pool, police say.
 
According to a press release, the student went missing during recess. The student was reportedly found in a swimming pool adjacent to the school and was taken to the hospital. No word has been released on his condition.
 
Fayetteville Public Schools released this statement on the possible drowning Tuesday afternoon:
 
"A Vandergriff Elementary School student was discovered missing today during a recess period. The student was found in a swimming pool on private property adjacent to the school and was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center. Fayetteville Police Department is investigating the incident, and FPS is working with them on the investigation. The school district wants our employees and community to know of this situation and invites our school family to pray for the student and his family. More information will be made available when appropriate."

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Fayetteville Police are working a possible drowning Tuesday.
 
Police said they responded to a call at a private residence regarding a child who is a student Vandergriff Elementary. Fayetteville Police, Fayetteville Fire and Rescue, and Central EMS responded to the call.
 
According to police, a missing child call from Vandergriff Elementary school and the possible drowning call came in four minutes apart.
