Update: LR Man Charged in City Director Car Crash

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police have identified the suspect arrested after a car crash last week that left a Little Rock City Board member injured.

Brakell Howard, 19, of Little Rock, is being held on a charge of Aggravated Assault in the Oct. 3 incident.

Police say Howard jumped into a vehicle being driven by City Director Doris Wright and caused her to crash into a tree. The vehicle then rolled three times.

Witnesses told police Wright was driving along Battery St. with the top down on her convertible. They say as she approached the intersection with 15th St., the man jumped into the car and Wright swerved.

Both Wright and Howard were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
