Update: Grass Fires in West Little Rock Contained


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Fire officials say that after working on hot spots, the grass fires in west Little Rock have been contained. 

The Little Rock Fire Department says the flames were between road and privacy fences. 

LRFD says the brush fire in the area of Northfield and Bronte is contained and no homes were damaged.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Crews are fighting three or four grass fires in west Little Rock, officials say.  

According to the Little Rock Fire Department, the fires are near Highway 10 and Chalamont Drive, the Cantrell area, and Tournay Circle. 

Officials have not yet said what caused the fires. 

We're told some homeowners who can't get in are parking at the Robinson High School and are walking home. 

The fires are not in the path of schools, authorities say, but are reaching close to homes.
