Update: Girl, Mom Suspect Found after Lonoke Kidnapping

LONOKE, Ark. - Just over four hours after a 7-year-old girl was reported kidnapped from her Lonoke primary school, the child and her biological mother were reported found.

The mom, Leah Rovnaghi, 34, was taken into police custody.

The ordeal had begun just before noon when officials say Victoria Rovnaghi was taken during recess.

A Morgan Nick Amber Alert had just been issued in the case when authorities reported finding the pair.

Authorities say Rovnaghi does not have custody rights for her daughter.

LONOKE, Ark. - A Morgan Nick Amber Alert has been issued in a Lonoke kidnapping case.

The Arkansas State Police says Victoria Rovnaghi, 7, was taken by her biological mother, identified as Leah Rovnaghi, 34, of Lonoke.

The child is described as about 4'0" tall and 65 pounds. The woman is described as about 5'7" tall.

A search began after authorities learned that the child had been taken during recess from the primary school just minutes before noon.

Authorities say Rovnaghi does not have custody rights for her daughter. She is reported to be driving a grey 2017 Range Rover Evoque SUV with a sticker on the side of it that reads Owens, Reynolds, Murphy. The vehicle has no license plate.

Anyone who sees the child, adult or the vehicle in attached photos is urged to call 911 immediately.
