WYNNE, Ark. - The Cross County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is releasing new photos in the investigation of the deaths of two infants whose bodies were found in a suitcase last month.
The photos at the bottom of this article are of items similar to those found at the scene and include: a pair of Polo brand red pants with an elastic waistband, a purple Hi-Pak semi hard top suitcase and an orange duffel bag with "Tigers #3" on it.
Investigators ask if anyone who knows of someone who was pregnant in mid-February but is not any longer and has no child, to please review the photos and call them if they see anything familiar.
"We are asking for the public's help," said a CCSO news release issued Tuesday. "If you recognize any of the items or you may have embroidered the orange bag please contact the Cross County Sheriff's Office @870-238-5700. All calls will remain confidential."
Earlier this month, investigators revealed that the babies were a girl and boy. Their bodies were found inside the purple suitcase noted above (photo below) on Feb. 16 in a ditch along County Road 602.
Autopsies revealed the babies were about 32 to 34 weeks along. An infant is typically full term at 40 weeks.
