WHITE COUNTY, Ark. - A 10-month-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Texas on Thursday is now in state custody after being found safe in Arkansas.

A news release issued Friday morning by the White County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) stated that "the FBI had pinged the phone from one of the possible suspects and the vehicle the suspects were in was traveling North towards White County." A check of the vehicle returned to an address on Rhoden Road in Judsonia, the WCSO said.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, it was learned that the suspects were near East Line Road in Searcy. WCSO deputies had been on the way to the address in Judsonia on Rhoden Road when Judsonia Police Department officers reported the vehicle was at the home. Judsonia officers were able to make contact with the suspects and detained them. The child that the Amber Alert was issued on was found in the back seat of the car in a car seat. Due to the cold weather, the child was placed inside an ambulance that had arrived on the scene.

The WCSO says it notified the lead investigator for Anderson County Texas that the child had been found and the investigator advised deputies to contact local Child Protective Services and release the suspects pending further investigation from Anderson County. The child was turned over to DHS.
