Two Dozen Bullets Strike Two Cars Outside Hot Springs Apartment Complex

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. --More than two dozen bullets -- hitting a pair of cars at an apartment complex in Hot Springs. It happened Tuesday night at the Indiandale Manor Apartments on Lowery Street.

On any given day, Barbara Hunter walks up and down Lowery Street in Hot Springs. "We live about 3 blocks that way," says Hunter.

Right across from the Indiandale apartments, where Tuesday night police say someone shot into cars in the parking lot of the complex. "We thought about moving over here," Hunter says.

Pictures show bullet holes in two cars. Police say one of the cars - had up to 30 bullet holes on the driver door and windshield. "It sounded like about 15 or 16 rounds," says Robert Hobson, who lives at the complex. "It's always gunshots over here," says Hunter.

Robert Hobson heard the gunfire outside his door."When I heard the first three shots I was in my apartment," Hobson says. Initially, he thought it was fireworks going off. "But after that rapidness I knew that couldn't' have been true," says Hobson.

Hobson says although there's crime, the recent shooting won't push him out of his community. "This neighborhood, from way back to the 90's when it was crazy to right now, has survived a whole lot of stuff," says Hobson.

But Hunter says she 's still on edge after this recent shooting. "I don't feel safe around this place at all," says Hunter. There was no one reported injured during the shooting.
There are no reported suspects at this time.
