POPE COUNTY, Ark. -- A trial date has been set for a Pope County man accused of having sex with his dog.

Jonathan Ford was arrested earlier last year.

The 32-year-old ran a pet rescue out of his home.

He was originally arrested for bestiality then arrested again for making a plan to break into The Russellville Animal Shelter.

The Pope County Prosecuting Attorney confirms his trial will begin April 12th.
