LITTLE ROCK, Ark -- For ten years now, Arkansans have come together to promote suicide prevention.
Thousands of people made it out today for the "Out of the Darkness Walk to Prevent Suicide."
Organizers say suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in our state, and nationally, Arkansas has one of the highest suicide rates.
"A lot of times with suicide and mental issues, we tend to not talk about it, and talking about it, getting it out is one of the most important things. "
For the last decade, Arkansans have come together to make the three mile walk in the memory of lives lost and to raise awareness.
The Out of the Darkness Walk raises money to provide suicide prevention programs, training, and support to thousands of Arkansans.
The body was found after a boating accident Friday night.
