ARKANSAS -- Following this week's shooting that killed 26 at a church in South Texas, Sutherland Springs will be known as the 5th largest mass shooting in U.S. history.
Recently, Las Vegas made headlines as the largest shooting with 58 killed and more than 515 wounded.
However, those numbers don't tell the entire story of America's history. There's a racial incident from Elaine, Arkansas were anywhere from 100 to 500 African-Americans were shot and killed.
The death toll wasn't accurately recorded. The number has been debated over the last few decades. Tonight at 10 p.m., Ashley Ketz travels to Elaine in eastern Arkansas to look back on history and examine how the area has recovered.
