LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police are looking for a man who woke up a woman at knifepoint and demanded cash early Tuesday morning inside her home on the city's west side.
The 50-year-old victim told officers the suspect came into her Foxcroft Village Dr. home through an open garage door. He walked through the downstairs area before going upstairs where she and her 9-year-old daughter were sleeping.
The woman said the suspect became angry when she had no cash and said he ordered her to wake her young daughter and drive to an ATM to get cash to give him.
According to the police report, the victim was forced to drive to two ATMs on nearby Cantrell Rd. to get cash for the suspect but was only successful in getting $300 from one of them.
The man still demanded more and the victim offered to write him a check. He told her to make it out for $800 to "Dovante Gardner," the police report stated, and then he left.
The woman told police the suspect wore dark clothing, a mask and gloves.
