Suspect Arrested in August LR Shooting

Gunfire Erupted Outside Club Level on Main Street

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - An arrest has been made one month after a shooting in a parking lot near a local nightclub that left a man injured.

The Little Rock Police Department says Elrin Romeal Williams, 26, of Little Rock, is facing an Aggravated Assault charge in the incident outside Club Level on Main Street.

When the incident happened around 2 a.m. on Aug. 26, police said a wreck in the parking lot had led to the gunfire.

The 29-year-old victim was reported to have been shot multiple times in the upper body.

Williams was taken into custody just before noon on Tuesday. He had been questioned at the scene the morning of the incident but had been released without charges pending further investigation. When police spoke to him on Aug. 26, he told them there was a handgun inside his car, which officers noted on the report.

The incident report noted that 20 shell casings from two different handguns had been found at the scene.
