Special Election to be Held in Alexander on Sales And Use Tax Increase

ALEXANDER, Ark.( News release)- A special election for the City of Alexander is set to take place in November of 2017.

The Special Election is to have voters approve a one cent raise in the city's sales and use tax for the general fund. Adding the one-cent tax will increase the city’s local tax from two cents to three, marking the same as the City of Bryant.

The voting locations and dates have been set. Election Day will be November 14, 2017.

Early Voting for Saline County voters in Alexander will be at: Benton Vote Center at 221 N. Main St,
Benton, AR 72015

Early Voting at the Benton Vote Center is Tuesday, November 7th
- Thursday, November 9th from 8:00a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Monday, November 13th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

There will be one voting location open for Election Day for Saline County Voters. Saline County voters living within the city limits of Alexander will vote at Pathfinder Human Resources Building 12B. The address is Highway 111 South, Alexander, AR 72002. This site will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

You must be registered by October 16, 2017 to vote in this election.
