MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Students at Southern Arkansas University (SAU) and the community of Magnolia are welcoming a new form of transportation.
SAU just added new bikes to its campus.
It's called the "Mule Rides" bicycle sharing system.
Students and citizens can ride across campus for up to two hours free by using the mobile app 'Social Bikes.'
SAU has 30 bikes at four hubs.
"Now that we have more on-campus housing, students are trying to figure out, how do we adjust, so with the increase in crosswalks, the increase in stop signs and various improvments, the bikes are just another addition to that," says Julianna Williams, SAU Student Government Association President.
After riding for two hours for free, students must pay two dollars for each additional hour.
