NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Rafael Gonzalez pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to the killing of his girlfriend Stephanie Hernandez.

Gonzalez is accused of killing 21-year-old Hernandez at her North Little Rock home on Sunday.

According to the arrest affidavit, a friend said that Gonzalez "accidentally shot Hernandez" and that he "routinely plays around with a pistol".

We obtained pictures showing Gonzalez pointing a gun at the back of Hernandez's head.

As a convicted felon he is not allowed to be in possession of a firearm, something attorney Bill James said can hurt any type of case.

"If you have pictures of yourself on Facebook, Snap Chat or Twitter that are relevant to your case and hurts your case, it can be very bad. Obviously people that aren't suppose to have guns shouldn't be showing guns. That probably comes up as much as anything else," said James.

Rey Hernandez, the victim's uncle, said, "They were disturbed to see him hold a gun".

As for North Little Rock police, they said they can't make an arrest based on a picture.

Gonzalez will be back in front of a judge on Wednesday for a firearms hearing.
