EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (KNWA) – The gates have opened to the third annual Hillberry Music Festival in Eureka Springs.
This is the first big music festival in Northwest Arkansas since the Las Vegas shootings 12 days ago.
Organizers expect more than 3,500 people to attend the weekend's festival. And while the event can be a lot of fun, the 160-acre venue can provide some challenges when it comes to security.
Venue owner Jon Walker said he does not expect any security concerns will arise this weekend, but his team is more than prepared to handle anything that comes their way.
Gates opened at 8 a.m. Friday morning, and the festival and runs through Sunday.
