LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A second arrest has been made in connection to a December triple homicide investigation.
Michael Collins, 25, was arrested at a residence on Dec. 8, 2017 in Chicago, IL for outstanding federal warrants, officials say at a press conference on Friday.
Police say Collins was charged with three counts of Capital Murder on Jan. 11.
Collins is currently in federal custody in Oklahoma.
Little Rock authorities are working on an extradition for Collins.
US Marshals, Little Rock and Chicago Police helped with the arrest.
Police made their first arrest in the case earlier this week. Collins' brother, William Alexander, 21, was booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility on Monday night on three charges of Capital Murder. He has been ordered held without bond.
The bodies of Mariah Cunningham, 24; A'Laylaih Fisher, 5 and Elijah Fisher, 3, were found on the afternoon of Dec. 5 inside their home at Rosewood Apartments off Lancaster near 65th Street. Police have so far not revealed how the victims died.
Sources familiar to the case say Collins committed the killings and Alexander was there during the incident. Those sources say Collins and Cunningham had a romantic relationship and had recently broken up.
Last month, the City of Little Rock had offered a $50,000 reward for information in the case.
Police believe all suspects in connection to the triple murder are in custody.
