LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - More than a thousand students and teachers were at the State Capitol Wednesday to celebrate School Choice Week and the ability for families to choose where they would like their kids to be educated.
There were a number of speakers on hand, including Governor Asa Hutchinson, who says he's glad his kids had different school options.
"When my kids were going to school they tried everything. They went to Christian school, a Catholic school, they have been home schooled, and they have been in the public school. Our live reflects that choice," he told the crowd.
The week is aimed at bringing awareness to all educational options, including public schools, charter schools, magnet schools, online learning, and more.
