LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Santa Claus is coming to the Clinton Presidential Center for an appearance this week and another one next week.
St. Nick is taking part in a holiday event to celebrate the season with fun art projects, special holiday entertainment, and FREE photos with him.
Santa at the Center is a FREE event open to the public, but regular admission fees apply to tour the Library and its temporary exhibits.
Santa's Clinton Presidential Center schedule:
Saturday, Dec. 9 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 16 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
12:30 p.m. performance by the Maisha Project Children’s Choir
Santa ia also heading to the Little Rock Zoo for Holidays in the Wild on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Tickets are now on sale for two seatings, a breakfast or a lunch, at the Zoo's Café Africa, that also includes other special holiday filled activities.
Both events will include buffet-style food, Kris Kringle hearing the wish lists of the children who visit with him, photo opportunities, craft time with Home Depot, visits from animal ambassadors and enrichment time for the zoo animals where Santa will deliver presents to zoo animals on his wish list.
"Holidays is the Wild is an event that people of all ages enjoy," said Zoo Director Susan Altrui. "We find that the public really likes seeing our animals get presents from Santa, and the animals sure enjoy receiving additional enrichment gifts!"
Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. Pictures with Santa start at 8:30 a.m. and animal ambassadors will visit the Cafe. At 10 a.m., guests will follow Santa to animal areas where he will assist keepers in handing out enrichment items to animals in the zoo. The same program follows at the 1 p.m. lunch, with Santa giving out more animal enrichment gifts at animal areas at 3 p.m.
Adding to the merry making, Home Depot will be at the Zoo to craft birdhouses with guests in Cafe Africa during both seatings.
Tickets are available at littlerockzoo.com or at the zoo's front gate. Guests can choose to attend breakfast or lunch. For adults, tickets are $12.95 for members and $22.95 for nonmembers. For children ages 3-12, tickets are $9.95 for members and $19.95 for nonmembers.
