RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- State Representative Trevor Drown will run for Secretary of State in 2018, according to The Local Rundown (TLR) in Russellville.
Rep. Drown seeks to replace term-limited current Secretary of State Mark Martin.
He announced his intention to run for the office in a conversation with TLR on Friday by saying,
“I go where I’m needed. I was approached about this office a while back, and with a lot of thought and prayer, I believe the Secretary of State's Office needs serious leadership. I feel like I possess the leadership that that office needs.“
Drown is currently serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. As he represents District 68, which includes a portion of Pope and Van Buren County.
He is a father of two and currently resides in Dover with his wife Kara.
