Pulaski County Youth Services Employee Facing Rape Charges

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- North Little Rock Police arrested an employee with Pulaski County Youth Services on two counts of rape.

We confirmed with Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde that 27-year-old George Haney works as a director for one of the county's after-school programs at a Little Rock church.

Judge Hyde spoke with our reporter Price McKeon on the phone Sunday evening on behalf of Pulaski County Youth Services.

He confirms Haney is suspended while they investigate. 

According to his North Little Rock Arrest report, Haney lists a home address out of Pine Bluff. 

Haney is expected to face two counts of rape for sexual assaults involving with a 14-year-old boy, according to North Little Rock Police.

Haney is being held without bond in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

According to his arrest report, a police officer spotted a Chevrolet Malibu in a parking lot in the 400 block of McCain Boulevard around 11:30 Friday night.

NLR police said the officer found the victim and the suspect in the back seat.

NLR police will not comment on the victim's connection to the suspect.
