LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department held a public discussion for three options on widening Highway 10 from Pleasant Ridge Road to Pleasant Valley Drive. Officials with the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department say it will help with some of the congestion in the area.
"I came out here a couple of years ago when we did the study of Highway 10. Basically, from Pleasant Valley Drive to West Little Rock," says AHTD spokesperson, Danny Straessle. "At the time we had a solution that was called a continuous flow interchange, so we've come back tonight with an alternative to that."
He says this is still the beginning phase of the proposal process. The actual construction could take months to years. AHTD officials say the public still have 15 days to offer suggestions. To comment or view the proposals, visit their website.
