DOVER, Ark. – The Pope County Sheriff’s Office says they were able to quickly determine that loud engine noises and lights in the sky were the result of an Oklahoma National Guard training exercise.
Dispatchers received a cluster of calls from concerned residents around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday
Deputies reached out to local, then regional air units.
They determined that the aircraft originated out of the Oklahoma Air National Guard base in Tulsa.
