Police Department to Host Safe Trick-or-Treat Event

JACKSONVILLE, Ark.  – Children can trick-or-treat outdoors in a safe environment on Halloween by attending Jacksonville Police Department’s free “Trunk or Treat” event. 

Jacksonville Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association and the police department will co-host a Halloween “Trunk or Treat” event on Tuesday, Oct. 31. 

The Halloween event will begin at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the police department parking lot, located at 1400 Marshall Road.

For the event, children should be wearing costumes and must be accompanied by adults. There is no drop off. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. 

Entrance and exit will be the South end of the parking lot. Vehicles must be parked in a marked parking spot. Parking on the street or drive will not be permitted. Overflow parking will be located at the recycling center next door.
