Pine Bluff Church Raising Money, Gathering Supplies for Texas Flooding Relief

 

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- A Jefferson County church is among the many organizations doing their part to help out the victims of the flooding from Hurricane Harvey,

Pastor Shawn Cuthbertson of Liberty Baptist Church is putting the word out this weekend about their ongoing Texas flood relief effort. 

Cuthbertson says the church has raised $6,000.00 so far and that within two days two trailers of supplies were shipped to Houston shelters. 

Fifty hand made quilts are among the items donated for the effort. 

 

Liberty Baptist Church has five drop off locations:

They are also are taking donations online at libertypinebluff.com ("tax deductible and 100% goes to the relief effort "-Pastor Shawn Cuthbertson)

 

They are requesting the following items: 

Bottled water, diapers, feminine products, baby wipes, Toothbrushes/toothpaste, wash cloths/towels, clothes that have been washed, bars of soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer and blankets/quilts that are clean.

Cuthbertson  says they have been told boys and girls underclothes are desperately needed.
