FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- A Hackett man was arrested on suspicion of raping a minor over a span of five years, authorities say.
Justin G. Carter, 36, was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center on suspicion of rape on Wednesday, according to deputies.
The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office said Carter's victim, a 16-year-old girl, called authorities on Sunday. The victim said she'd been sexually abused since she was 11. In additional to the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, the Van Buren Police Department also responded to the call.
An arrest warrant was later issued for Carter, and he was taken to jail. His bond has been set at $100,000.
Deputies said it's possible there'll be more charges added as Carter is being investigated by federal authorities as well.
The body was found after a boating accident Friday night.
