NLR Car Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One person has died in a two car crash on Interstate-40 Tuesday morning.

Arkansas State Police say the accident happened around 5 a.m. on 1-40 west of JFK. Both vehicles were headed eastbound.

The victim has been identified as Jennifer Jackson, 38, of Cabot.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Jackson’s 2003 Chevrolet went off the road and she overcorrected before striking a concrete barrier and overturning.

The second vehicle, a 1999 Jeep struck the overturned vehicle.

The injured were taken to Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock. There is no further word on their conditions.
