LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A Little Rock firefighter is collecting donations for hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
Jessica Cruz is on the staff at Station 23 and is part of an organization called Puerto Ricans in Arkansas.
After seeing all the devastation that hit the island, the group decided to collect donations for people in Puerto Rico who still need a lot of help.
"We have a lot of people who can't get to shelters and hospitals or things like that so they're having to camp out where they are and there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes," says Cruz.
They're asking for donations including mosquito netting, repellant, first aid kits and non-perishable foods, formula and diapers.
Donations can be dropped off Sunday, Oct. 8th between 1 and 3 at Fire Station 23, located at 4500 Rahling Rd. in Little Rock.
