LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- It's a scene you don't see every day. Somehow, someway, a live power pole ended up in the back of a pickup truck...and remained upright.
You might have seen the scene on your way to work today near the Arkansas School for the Deaf.
Entergy Arkansas officials tell us the truck slammed into the pole. While the bottom of the pole snapped, the top of the pole glided into the back of the truck. Amazingly, no one in the area ever lost power.
As of noon Tuesday, crews were working to remove the truck and replace the power pole.
There will be some power disruptions for a short amount of time as the pole is replaced, according to Entergy.
Entergy representatives say they work around 4-5 car accidents involved power poles each week. They couldn't recall a time where a pole ended up in the back of a truck.
