SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA) - People who live in Springdale have a new way to give and receive help in their neighborhoods.
The Springdale Chamber of Commerce unveiled its Little Free Pantry project on Wednesday morning in a ceremony at the police department.
The free food pantries filled with nonperishable items and toiletries have been installed all over Springdale.
Neighbors are encouraged to "give what you can and take what you need" from the pantries.
They're part of a project for this year's Leadership Springdale class. Each class has to create a project that will benefit the community, raise funds for it and see it through to the end.
