LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News release) - KARK 4 News Reporter Marci Manley has won another regional Emmy award.
Her latest honor came Saturday night in St. Louis at the awards ceremony for the Mid-America Emmys, one of 19 regional chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Manley, the station's investigative reporter, is a previous regional Emmy winner. She picked up the latest award for her work in the Journalistic Enterprise category, which honors a journalist's body of work. This was her second-straight win in the category. Marci had received three regional Emmy nominations this time around.
"This collection of work really illustrates what we here at KARK 4 are all about," said Manley. "These stories show how government action and inaction impact real people’s lives. Receiving the award for Journalistic Enterprise is really about that for Working 4 You – knowing that we’re doing what journalists should do by holding the powerful accountable and giving the public a way to reach others and have their voices heard."
