Human Skeletal Remains Found in Pine Bluff Identified

PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Human skeletal remains found in a field late last month have been identified as those of a local man.

The Pine Bluff Police Department (PBPD) says William Hopson, 39, had last been seen in the area of 28th St. & Camden Rd. on March 15, 2017.

The remains were found on Sept. 27 in the 2200 block of W. 30th Street.

The PBPD says the identification at the State Crime Lab was made by clothing, articles found with the remains, and by comparing surgical implants against the medical records of Mr. Hopson.

Police say there were no signs of trauma on the remains and the cause of death has been listed by the Crime Lab as undetermined.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the PBPD Detective Division at (870) 730-2090 or dispatch at (870) 541-5300. Information can also be shared via Facebook and Text-a-Tip at the links listed below.
