Grady Police Chief's Wife Shot in Shoulder

STAR CITY, Ark. - The Grady Police Chief's wife is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the shoulder Monday, police say.

The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is looking into the incident which they say happened at a home in Star City on March 6.

Police have identified the shooting victim as Treshia Hunter, 43, who is the wife of Grady Chief of Police Kenny Hunter.

Police say Treshia called police saying she had been shot in the shoulder. They say she was taken to an area hospital and her injury is not believed to be life threatening.

The Hunters' daughter says the incident may have been an attempted break-in, and that their family dog was shot as well.
