Fighting violence with fashion.
That's the goal of the "Peace in the City Fashion Show" happening in Little Rock a week from today.
Little Rock native Ayunna Collins watched her friends and community torn apart by violence over the summer.
So in July she decided she wanted to do something to help the families.
Ayunna Collins founded of Peace in the City.
Now, 20 models and almost a dozen local designers and boutiques are helping put together this one of a kind event.
"I just wanted to do something. I mean, modeling is my passion, fashion is my passion, so I was like I don't know any other way to give back other than doing what I love so this is what it came down to".
The fashion show is happening next Sunday night at 6 P.M. at the Touch of Quality Event Center" on Scott Street.
Proceeds will go directly to families who recently lost loved ones due to violence.
Check out "Peace in the City Fashion Show" on Facebook for ticket details.
And we hope you'll join us next weekend as we continue our push for victory over violence.
Next Saturday, November 4th, we'll hold our next victory walk on Wright Avenue
It starts at 9 A.M.
Together, we'll walk as one community, united in our fight against violence.
