FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- The FBI and other Oklahoma law enforcement agencies are searching property linked to missing Alma girl Morgan Nick.
The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office said the property being searched is in Spiro, and it cannot comment on if Monday's search is related to the Morgan Nick disappearance.
Authorities said the property where the FBI is searching was investigated in 2010, and that was in connection to the disappearance. But they cannot comment further on Monday's search until the FBI releases that information.
Morgan Nick's mother Colleen Nick released the following statement on Monday:
"We are deeply grateful for the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to find Morgan and bring her home."
The FBI said it has no comment on the investigation.
At 10:45 p.m. on June 9, 1995 in Alma, Arkansas, Morgan Nick was abducted from a Little League baseball game by an unidentified man. She was attending the game with her mother and had joined some friends to catch fireflies. Morgan was last seen standing near her mother's car where she had stopped to empty sand from her shoes.
