Eclipse Glasses Given to Veterans in NLR Hospital

LITTLE ROCK, ARK.-   A substance abuse program at the NLR VA hospital thinks the upcoming solar eclipse is just the thing to brighten up their patients' day.

Problem is, they don't have a way to view it.

So on Thursday KARK's Chief Meteorologist Keith Monahan went to the hospital and handed out solar eclipse glasses to the patients.

"We have robust substance abuse program and this is wonderful that these guys get a chance to go outside and see something that they are only going to see once in 100  years."

The North Little Rock VA hospital  offers mental health substance abuse and homelessness programs among others to help veterans.
