JONESBORO, Ark.-- One swat team in East Arkansas is working to make sure it's prepared in the event of an active shooter situation.

Greene County officials say this training is completed once and sometimes twice a month at a school building.

The drills include practicing how to enter and exit an active shooter situation and learning perimeters of the building it is happening in.

Sheriff David Carter from Greene County says, "In our time, you know, with all the happenings going on at the school, you never know. It could happen at a school, it could happen at WalMart, it could happen anywhere and we want to be prepared for anything that comes up so they are constantly training."

Carter says they also use the old county jail as a school training zone.
