Dumas Shooting Claims Life of McGehee Man

DUMAS, Ark. - A McGehee man has been killed in a weekend shooting.

The Dumas Police Department (DPD) says it happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

As officers investigated shots fired in the area of West Waterman and West Choctaw, a 911 call came in reporting a man had been shot at Willow and W. Jones streets, said Dumas Police Chief Everett Cox in a news release issued Tuesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Blake White, 25. Police say he suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead after being taken by ambulance to Delta Memorial Hospital.

Chief Cox says there's no information yet on a suspect in the homicide.
