LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Little Rock Police officials say the crime scene at Power Ultra Lounge was 'very large' and took hours to process.
Wednesday evening, Crime Scene Specialists were at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus showing students and the public what it was like to be a Crime Scene Tech. They set up fake crime scene simulations.
The specialists were able to compare the mock simulation to the Power Ultra Lounge scene.
The specialists say it would take about 15 minutes to process the fake scene. It took more than 20 hours to process the mass shooting scene at Power Ultra Lounge. There are 15 pieces of evidence at the simulation compared to the more than 300 pieces of evidence at the nightclub.
Specialist Alexa Nicastro says after processing the scene, they had to process the victims' clothes.
"Had all their clothing and we had one girl that was behind who had to dry and hang all the clothes," says Nicastro.
Several hours after processing Power Ultra Lounge, there was a homicide in Little Rock so the specialists were called back in to process that crime scene.
