FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Long lines, wait times, and just not enough food - these are some of the complaints we heard about regarding concessions at the first Razorback home game of the season.
We took your comments to the athletic department to see what caused the hold up and what's being done to fix it.
The main problem, according to Senior Associate Athletic Director Chris Freet, is the stadium only has one kitchen to service up to 80,000 fans.
That one kitchen services all concessions stands throughout the stadium and with more items needing to be cooked comes long wait times. However there is a solution in the works. Freet says there's a new kitchen being included in the renovations currently taking place at razorback stadium.
It will be in the North End Zone helping split up the work. In the meantime, Freet says they're coming up with temporary solutions.
He says, "There will be more dedicated drink only lines, so you can go get your drink, your water, your soft drink without having to wait in line behind someone who's getting food or some of the other items that take a little bit longer to prepare."
He adds, "They'll find staff working the back of the lines. That staff will be there to say hey it's going to take you about 10 minutes to get to the front of the line, but if you want to walk down a couple sections, we know that, that concession stand there has some opening and you won't have to wait in line."
In addition to those drink only lines, Freet adds Levy Concessions, the company handling food at the game, is also adding 250 additional employees focused on helping keep wait times down and more hackers, or the people selling concessions in the stands.
The stadium is also bringing back some classics that don't take much time at all to get out to fans. Kettle corn, lemonade, and funnel cakes will return for Saturday's game with the Razorbacks and New Mexico State.
